Our Architecture Program Students’ Project Wins the “Community Choice” Award at The Field Station Competition

A team consisting of our Özyeğin University Architecture doctoral program students Fırat Ali Fırat and İrem Ezgi Çiftçi, along with our Architecture master’s students Ece Kıy and Beril Baş, advanced to the finals with their project in The Field Station competition, organized by the Italy-based Terra Viva organization. The team also received the “Community Choice Award.”

Their project, titled “Tidal Nexus,” illustrates a resilient research campus designed for the tidal wetlands of Virginia, USA. Establishing a dialogue between land and water, Tidal Nexus acts as both scientific infrastructure and public landscape, redefining coexistence between nature, architecture, and community.
