Our President Prof. Barış Tan Welcomes Journalist Ertuğrul Özkök at Le Cordon Bleu Istanbul

On November 6, 2025, Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan hosted renowned journalist Ertuğrul Özkök at Le Cordon Bleu Istanbul on our campus. The event drew strong participation from our students in the Undergraduate Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Undergraduate Hotel Management Programs, with our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students showcasing a meticulously crafted menu, inspired by the vibrant flavors of Peruvian cuisine.

During the meeting, Prof. Tan highlighted the outstanding accomplishments of our Faculty of Applied Sciences students. He noted that nearly all graduates secure employment at the time of or immediately after graduation, with roughly one-third building their careers abroad. Graduates of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program shine on the global stage, showcasing their culinary talents in over 20 Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide. Drawing attention to the international recognition of our programs, Prof. Tan also shared that Peninsula Chicago, one of the world’s premier hospitality institutions, recruits eight of our students each year.
